Timezones in eloomi can be set universally (for all users) or individually.

Set a universal timezone for your platform

Navigate to Admin > Settings > Company Details > Language details > Timezone.

This setting will apply to all users automatically unless changes are applied as below.

Set up an individual timezone for each user

As an admin, can also assign specific timezones for each user. You can do so by adding it to the User Import file or by manually adding it to the individual user profiles.

When adding a timezone in the User Import file, the timezone should be exactly aligned with the options available within eloomi. For example, if you are in Copenhagen, you need to write "Europe/Copenhagen". Do not include the UTC code.

IMPORTANT:

This will automatically override the platform timezone set up above. Users, by themselves, can also adjust their timezone under User Profile > Settings. This means, as an admin, you can prescribe the users' timezones but cannot "lock" it for anyone.

So when creating a schedule in an Onsite Module, the system will pick up the timezone of the User and not the timezone of the system.

Why are timezones important?

Timezones are useful when leveraging webinars and onsite modules in eloomi. It ensures that schedules users see are automatically adjusted to their local time.

Your platform timezone also affects how you view times and dates when using eloomi. For example, when viewing reports, the timestamps will be on your local time. Same goes for any "last updated" timestamps in the platform.

Please note

As a default, a user that is not set up with a timezone will adopt the platform timezone.
