At eloomi we're all about white-labelling the platform. We want you to be able to live and breathe your company branding as much as we can offer and for this a custom mail domain can be a great addition.
A custom email domain allows emails triggered from your eloomi platform to be sent from an email ("sender email address") of your own choosing, e.g.: [email protected]
There are two ways of achieving this: custom email address or client SMTP server.
Keep in mind that this service is a contract add-on. Please reach out to your Customer Success Manager if you are interested in this.
1. Custom email address
This will send out eloomi platform emails via eloomi's email servers and the client's email of choosing.
If you decide to go ahead with this process:
We require that you use a subdomain for this setup. Note: When using a subdomain, you will still be able to send emails from your root domain.
You need to provide eloomi with the "sender email address" and the subdomain.
eloomi will set this up on MailGun and provide you with the krs._domainkey + TXT + MX records.
Finally, you will need to follow this guide (from Step 2) to add DNS Records to your hosting provider.
2. Client SMTP server
This will send out eloomi platform emails via the client's own email SMTP servers and email of choosing.
If you decide to go ahead with this process, we have the following requirements:
eloomi must be provided the name of the "sender email address"
eloomi must be granted access to the customer's mail SMTP server
Once this is set up, emails from eloomi will be sent through the client's email servers.
Automated scheduled emails from eloomi are sent around 6am CET.
Potential drawbacks:
eloomi can no longer look into delivery reports and bounces from receivers' inboxes in case there are some challenges with emails not being received. This will have to be done by the client.
Due to the large number of email notifications being processed, our customers' own email servers may not be able to handle the traffic causing major delays or crashing. This can cause your email servers to stop sending any and all emails.
When you have fulfilled the requirements above, please raise a support request at [email protected].
