The eloomi platform can send out text messages to employees that either do not have an email address or prefer information in this format.
With this functionality, you will have an extra admin setting (SMS Templates & History) where you can enable and disable SMS templates and edit these, similarly to mail templates.
The setup and maintenance of this will include a cost. Please reach out to your Customer Success Manager for more information.
Note:
- Users will need to have their mobile phone numbers attached in their profiles. 
- The SMS gateway will have to be toggled on in your platform. 
eloomi provides two ways of creating an SMS gateway: by using eloomi's provider or by using your own provider.
eloomi SMS gateway
Your CSM or dedicated CS will initiate the setup through a Helpdesk ticket, once this has been discussed with you. You need to buy prepaid credits, which relates to purchasing every SMS you want to send out beforehand.
Under SMS History, you can see the text messages that have been sent out and you get an overview of how many credits you still have available for that month (credits cannot be transferred to the following month).
Your CSM will be able to share a pricing sheet with you, where you can see the cost per SMS to each respective country.
Your own SMS gateway
If you decide to use your own provider, we will need to know the name of the provider and whether they support 'email to SMS'.
If they do; we request the following information from the provider in a Helpdesk ticket:
- Email address. 
- SMS structure (header and body). 
If they do not; we investigate whether we can make the integration through API calls. This needs to be requested through a Helpdesk ticket and will take longer from our side to complete, as it includes development work. The ticket needs to include:
- Name of service provider. 
- Method of sending SMS: email or API (Preferred). 
- Authentication credentials. 
- Any limit on monthly number of SMS credits.
